Ford already has arguably the best in sports trucks, but looking to keep that lead, the classic American car company took the sport truck and made it a supersport truck! Ford began to tease the Ford F-150 Raptor R back in January of 2021, and speculation has only offered a small glimpse into what could be the best truck to ever hit the streets!
The Ford F-150 Raptor is built like a tank compared to the standard F-150. The Raptor R features a wider stance, a beefier powertrain, and a 450hp twin-turbo V6. Though puny compared to the Ram TRX, the F-150 Raptor R looks to close that gap with the inclusion of a 5.2L V8 engine capable of 725hp!
What’s So Cool about the F-150 Raptor R?
The Ford F-150 Raptor R takes the already cool Raptor and ramps up the horsepower. In addition, the body looks to be a bit more aggressive still, and with suspension upgrades capable of handling jumps like the Dodge Ram TRX. Also, with the inclusion of branded Raptor R components, the Raptor R will stand two heads above the standard F-150!
Even though there are bits and pieces of teased information, months remain until the factory’s first production models roll out; the F-150 Raptor R is looking quite promising!
Dream Truck At a Nightmare Price
The Ford F-150 Raptor already starts well above $60,000. The Raptor R is looking to push that into the $70,000 range for base options. The F-150 Raptor R could stretch into the six-figure range with additional features, gimmicks, and other options.
Though the price of the Raptor R is lofty, the Dodge Ram TRX starts a full $5,000 more than the Raptor R but has less horsepower and arguably less of a platform to build off of than the Raptor R has, with the Raptor being such a great option.
Dream Garage F-150 Raptor R
The dream garage doesn’t have to have the most expensive vehicles, only the best. Including a V8 engine will be great for the Ford Raptor R, whose V6 engine desperately needs a larger option! Additionally, the luxury features, upgraded suspension, and body styling will make the Raptor R a perfect fit. What’s in the dream garage? The F-150 Raptor R!
